When the HR person suggested a "OPS round," I was totally confused during my first interview as a fresher. I did the same thing you did and ended up browsing about companies going public on Google. The Operational round is typically referred to as the "OPS round" in terms of interviews. It usually focuses on how you solve problems, make decisions, and manage real-world, practical tasks related to the work. To see how you can react in real-life situations, it can involve scenarios or a game. It's a common interview question and a great way to show your abilities, so don't worry!

Ops round is nothing but operations round in an interview. In any job interview, ops round takes place where the manager will ask you certain questions to check your technical skills for the job role. Now, everyone knows that freshers don’t have advanced skills. And this is why many freshers get scared with ops round. But, don’t worry. Not every company will hassle you with questions that you can’t answer. Sometimes they ask situation-based questions just to check your practical skills. Just don’t be nervous and do a little research about the company and prepare yourself well for the interview. I know its easier said than done. But, trust me everything will be just fine!

Ops round is nothing but operations. It is the technical round of the interview where you would be given assignments to do for which you have to use your technical skills. This round ensures that whatever skills the candidate has mentioned on their resume is true or not. It doesn’t have to be related to technology questions. With this round, the recruiter and the manager would ensure that you have the right knowledge of the particular sector. Some of the ops round questions are:

  • What is budget planning and how would you handle it?
  • If you get selected for the job role, what would your first task be?
  • What’s your experience with logistics management?

Your Job Interview Round consists of an OPS round assessing your business operations skills. Here, your interviewer may ask questions regarding your desired market trend and its mode of operation. You may be asked to solve a hypothetical problem. This tests your technical and interpersonal skills. Also, your knowledge of the latest tools and technologies might be evaluated to understand how your work improves productivity. An appropriate answer to this question will help you get through the interview.
