Reason to resign from a good company.

Hi All,

I Joined this Irish-American tech consulting company in 2021 with a 130% hike & 3.8 YOE. I learnt a lot of new things and made some really good connections within 1.5 years. Now the work has been saturated to a point where I no longer write code , but only review it while approving the prs of juniors. Also I don't like the way the people at the client side run the project. Even if I ask for a change in a project I know for a fact that either it will take at least 6 months or the other project will be mostly like be support work.
Please help me come up with a polite reason that's not about higher education or salary. I have an offer from Deloitte and TCS currently with a 50 % hike.

Thanks, but it just seems that way and I don't have any special talent. Anyone in my domain with decent skills can make a switch even in these times.

That's exactly what I feel, I'm not from a tech field, so you don't even need complex coding skills to do what I do, yet somehow, I'm the only one who can do it

If you don't have any work then why are you resigning? Was in similar situation and I took another job, which is much more challenging and my original jobs pays me to basically be there.

If i don't do any more hands-on in the next 3 years, I would loose my technical grasp and know hows. That's something very important to me.

Exactly, take another job which is challenging and keep this one side. If this is so chill you can sure skim through. Given both are remote ofcourse. I have been doing the same for last 3 years now, 1 consulting job with super basic stuff and 1 in a startup with good technical challenges.

The most polite thing would be to be honest about your reason to leave.

I have been honest before. It hasn't worked out for me the way it should. 😅
