Salary Check
I am currently working as an APM at a start up (Series B) with 4 YOE (2.5 years into product) and Masters level qualification (not MBA).
My current CTC is 14.65 (13.65 + 1). Don’t think it’s fair as per market standards. Any comments?

APM with 2.5 years ? Bro need to learn and upgrade
Is title that detrimental?
Didn’t mean to hurt feelings but APM is just one level up intern. And it should not take more than a year of working.
The ctc isn't the problem. The role is. You shouldn't be an APM with that YOE.
I have had Product Manager title in past roles but work wise I do more in this one.
APM entry level compensation is 16-22LPA for most companies. With your YoE it should definitely be in the 20-25 bracket at least.
Thanks for your input.
Are you good at what you do? Generally speaking people who are good rise faster than those who aren't. You seem like the second category.
Umm..subjective. Basis what can we say good or bad?
Yup, most product management is subjective because there's no number to objectively measure it. But 4YOE with 2.5 in Product and still an APM sounds like something isn't right.
It's a good salary to be in. Designation always depends on the company scale. Hopefully the product/s which you are managing are intresting and solves problems , which eventually will help you. 👍
Salary wise I think there is better scope for me individually.
Org and designation wise, yes, definitely. I do more product management than my previous roles combined even though designation is APM.
Product is okayish, lot of scope in terms of pure management but not from a growth perspective.
Thanks for your inputs.
