Salary discussion

I have a total of 2.2 years of experience as a java backend developer. I made a switch in April 2024 and got 20 lpa as a fixed pay( almost 40% hike). My friends with same experience are paid around 22-25 lpa max. Am I being lowballed or 20 is still okay as per standards. And what should I do from here. Should I plan another jump in next 8-10 months or wait for atleast 1.5 years ? And what package should I target in both situations?

I think the compensation is good given the current market conditions. Gone are the days of crazy salaries offered by startups burning VC money in a bid to acquire top talent. Companies these days are looking for more sustainable employees
