How one can transition from SDE to PM and not in the same company?
SDE career path is much much better and secure than Pm path.
PM function might even be merged in future with tech in tech heavy orgs.

About my career:
I suck at tech (or I think so). In the current job market how do I switch to a PM position? What would be pros and cons Earning: 37L base YoE: 4
Had started my career as a android developer for 2 years. Was fairly good at it. Went for a MBA from IIM K and joined a fintech startup as a PM. Around 5yoe PM now
Keep regretting on and off how life could have been as a developer.
I'm currently an APM (1 yoe). Even though the pay, wlb is much above industry standards I feel an itch to work and build in an IC role before eventually turning to PMing.
So here are my options:
I am and sde. Earning less as I have to have wfh. 15-20lpa, currently in lead with about 6+ yoe. Plus some on the side.
I am interested in data science. I have been studying.
But how do I make the switch.
Will my sde exp be counted? ...
