What is the quality of software engineers working in cities like indore, Chandigarh, jaipur, Ahmedabad etc. Are they really good or companies running at these places are just for namesake???
The top IT firm in Chandigarh is Infosys. You’re free to make your assumptions based on that and they’d most likely be true. It is a beautiful city but no so much options for tech roles.
Why is Chandigarh not able to attract IT Companies? Any idea? I saw multiple SEZs there, some closed down, some opened and waiting for companies to come, I mean they ready-to-move space for companies, and yet hardly any big company is moving there. Why?
Live in Tier 2 for better standard of living
In my opinion, most it companies in tier 2 are not that good. Few exceptions may be there.

Indore is developing at good pace. Some good companies have already started their offices here. Ex: TCS, Infosys, Rakuten, Yash Technology, Systango etc. in 2-3 years many big mncs have signed up.
I know a lot of companies are hiring for roles with competitive offers that are in sync with Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Why not stay away from metros given the right opportunities? Would love to hear your thoughts.
