Solo travelling as a noob: need some advice
I’m graduating in October, and wanna take a break for 2 months before I officially become a “corporate slave”. As a girl I’ve never had the freedom/opportunity to travel solo internationally and I am planning on visiting Thailand in mid Oct. I’d love some tips on:
-
How to overcome the fear (I’m someone who’s watched wayyy too may true crime shows and I’m paranoid lol)
-
How to calculate expenses for a week long trip to Thailand from Blore (I’ve heard it’s mostly b/w 60-75K)
Any help would be appreciated! ✨

Had done the same thing post graduating
It was scary at times, just being out in the mountains sometimes all by myself (I had gone to Himachal)
But overall, I think it was an important experience. Just helps with knowing a little bit more about you. Nothing will happen - statistically speaking

Yeah it really is an important experience and it’s definitely something that I’ve been wanting to do for ages!

@Kingslayer , for a girl that doesn't suit as a Username. FYI, that's the Username I generally use everywhere🤣
Anyways, kudos for planning international trip. Solo travels are a bit scary at the beginning, you should be fine, check some online blogs/resources for places to visit and what all items to take while backpacking.
For expenses - Divide it in these segments and figure out the costs based on online research - Food Hotel/accommodation Travel - Public transport or Cab etc Visa Fees, flight tickets Shopping for local items etc Sightseeing and paying for any specific events or rides in parks etc

Thanks for the advice! :)

Just go for it... If you are feeling to much hesitation then take a partner.
If spent carefully budget is enough for 2-3 weeks to be honest.

The reason I’m going alone is ‘cause friends have some or the other issues i.e. budget/strict parents etc. and I’m single so a partner is outta question 🥲

Also @Kingslayer , which degree are you graduating from?
