The company knew what he did and yet sent him to give interviews and collect awards. God knows how far up the value chain this sh*t goes.
Doesnt feel right, a senior security professional sending email from official email id and everything regarding deal mentioned in so much detail. Seems somebody got access to his account and intentionally dealt in selling data either for financial gain or somebody is extremely pissed at him and wanted to destroy his repute.
Or he did it and is actually that dumb or that crooked
Regardless, he allowed open APIs to be left for external people to access Star Health's data
5TB+ data was downloaded. How was he not alerted?
Isn't that literally what a CISO's job is? Information security?
Common man, he is a security guy in leadership position, he has worked in security domain for years maybe decade and climbed the corporate ladder gradually like we all do.. it does not make sense for him to use OFFICIAL email Id.
To all those saying No eorson in their right mind would give out information through their email - The data breach occured in July 2024.
How the fuck does this CISO still have his job?
How can he go to collect awards one month after the data breach and give interviews as a company representative 8 weeks after the data breach?
Why has he not come out in public (LinkedIn / X) with his side of the story. It's been 3 weeks since this was published in print with his name?
as a society, we have dropped too far. For money everything has become acceptable. He wont be punished. the law will reach out to him like vultures to a dead body, everybody will try to claw a share, and he would be let go.
The law will take its time to find closure, and in mean time he will carry on with his life.
