detected pre-diabetes yesterday in blood test. i am an active person, who plays badminton at advanced level and runs a lot. also my food habits are not so bad.
working at a startup since last 4+ years has affected me a lot i guess, extreme stress.

Given your active lifestyle, I feel it might be hereditary. If that's the case you need to double down on healthy diet with whatever physical activites you're doing. If you're not sure about your diet, I highly recommend hiring a nutritionist. Try meditation and yoga for stress. Unless you're the founder or have significant ESOPs, you need to think twice whether working that much is worth it or not.
no heredity at all. but sure i need to focus more on my diet. i also think this is reversible. yes, i am about to talk to a good nutritionist. i dont have much ESOPs, and will def. quite my job once i get a decent job with good WLB
Stress affects a lot on health. I have Thyroid and my nutritionist keeps saying not to take any kind of stress, since that would affect my health and in turn increase thyroid.
Take good care of your diet, and you are already active so that will definitely show positive results soon. Don't worry. ☺️☺️
