Switch to PM as a software engineer

My girlfriend wants to switch to PM roles. She's currently working as an embedded software engineer in a really good company. She's considering enrolling in online courses like Nextleap which will give her a structured learning and placement assistance platform. I'm usually sceptical of online courses/bootcamps but I've no idea about PM roadmap/journey. Would it be helpful?
