TCSer dilemma- No jobs outside - No projects Inside

I will finish 2 years in may, I worked as business analyst for 1 year 8 months and took release in order to get into a React Js project, I gave rmg all my skills, he said he could not get me a project on those skills, I am rejecting all the support projects, he threatened me saying people are getting released from company if they are not taking projects, (I cleared digital few months ago)

Cut to the present- I am working on L1 Sap support, every day I feel like quitting the company, I might have applied for around 400 companies easily in the past 1 month I received call from 2 and neither had scheduled interview after knowing the notice period, If I dont take a decision now I wont be able to crack interviews later as days pass the experience I need to fake also builds,

My options:

  1. I thought I will keep my papers after the current hike and revoke it if I do not get any offer
  2. Fight with the current manager for release on the basis of the 2 year contract he recently told, which was not mentioned while I was taken into the project.
  3. Do my learnings parallelly and when I get an offer I will leave the company

My current level of understanding in react is moderate, I have done few small projects and I helped one of my friends in his project for some time and I feel that I can crack interviews.

Please give your suggestions, its a life thats going to change if i stay here for 2 more yrs I will come out with 0 exposure and 4 yrs experience.

Bro just don't come in to tcs if you have another offer, you will learn the least in tcs.

@TCScat bro I am also going through the exact same situation and exact same dilemma not sure what to do exactly. For me I am currently doing option 3, option 2 is of no use bcoz even if you fight at last u gonna stay here only and now thinking of going for option 1 as of now bcoz if stay here will loose my skills completely

Bhai, TCS is not a jail, it's a company. You're not a prisoner, you're an employee. If you're unhappy, leave. But remember, "Ghar ki murgi daal barabar." Are you ready to face the real world?

Going through exactly same experience in infy. I am lying about notice period, got one interview so far, my first interview after infosys interview 2.5 years ago, and I failed miserably.

Only way I see is to keep shooting till you hit something.

Take the plunge. It is risky alright but you’ll have to start somewhere eventually. If you believe in your skills, you’d get far.

Tell outside ur notice period is 2 months, and start clearing interviews, then when u have two offers negotiate with the hr( look for buyout)

I agree to the point they threaten but see one thing what you actually want and how much you can give yourself to build your knowledge in React post on knome find project for yourself from knome talk to your manager for release talk to HR and do it . If you feel switching is not an option for you right now else best option is to switch put papers and concentrate on

Thinking to resign.

It is hard being at this organisation with toxic people and toxic culture at its peak.

Can’t anymore (don’t have an offer in-hand and I have 1 year of experience)

Is the 60 days notice period too much?

Hi Folks I recently got an offer and the notice period over there is 60 days. In my past companies it was 30 days everywhere. Just wanted to know your opinion.

60 days is common. Avoid 90 in any case.
