Came across this vlogger from rural West Bengal - Ananya
Graduate in geography with ITI training, trying to be a YouTuber to support her single mother. Father passed away, lives in a crumbling old house with her cats. Watch her first 4-5 YouTube uploads. She's been looking for jobs and even got scammed by someone who claimed to get her a job after she paid money (still fairly common in rural India).
almost 8-9 months since she started creating content, now has 24 k followers across insta and YT. her reels are going viral thankfully, her consistent effort finally starting to pay off.

doesn't have UPI yet, doesn't know how to get ATM card. her followers are helping her with digital literacy which is heartwarming but she's also getting the worst kind of trolls on her profile.
How can we make better platforms that can provide employment to people like her? How do we unlock financial access for her? How can we educate her well? How do we reduce trolling and bullying?
These are the challenges of rural youth in India. Something many of us are completely disconnected from.
I don't usually do these kind of posts but please do follow her on YouTube and support her work. she really needs it.
