Thread: Which country is actually good to immigrate to?

Currently I feel there’s no actually good country to move to which also has high quality jobs.

Canada is turning racist UK economy is worsening Australia there is no point US is hard to move to, and another election is coming

Please chime in with thoughts if you have some more perspective

Agree to all your points.

Personally I have felt singapore is a good place to go for a decade or two simply because the pros outweigh the cons. Getting there can be difficult, but once you’re there, cost of living, long hours of work, strict rules and are the only main issues.

Pay will be decent, country is green and clean, close to india, one of the safest countries in the world, strong economy. Healthcare, education all world class.

Plus, it is a multicultural environment of english speaking people who are, not infamous for racism.

Eager to hear from people who have first hand experiences

Singapore unfortunately is slightly racist as well
But I think better off than US/EU

But otherwise a very sorted place if you make decent pay

Getting Singapore PR is next to impossible for Indians due to their preference for Han Chinese. And Singaporens are far more racist than Europeans or Americans. Go take a look at sg forums like r/SingaporeRaw or edmw threads

Some thoughts:

→ US is the best place to immigrate regardless of whatever situation. Economic prospects + Capitalism. The obvious problems are solved if you're living in the right places. Plus, you don't need to no more than the English you already know. Maybe, a bit of Spanish in New Mexico/California but that's about it.

→ Canadian Economy + inflation is crap. High Taxation and a socialist outlook is not a good place to make money in,

→ Australia is fine but the problem lies in maturity of the markets. Better than India but if you are going to immigrate and uproot everything then better to move to a country with the strongest economy.

→ UK is not a great place to be in right now, impending downfall. London is great but job market is always a little stiff.

→ Countries in the European region are a good bet but high taxation means similar problems as Canada. However, quality of living is extremely decent if you can brave the cold. Any Nordic country is a good bet actually. The only problem is not speaking the same language as them, like Norwegian, Swedish etc.

There is no right or wrong answer, all depends on what you prefer in your life. US is not a safe place and green card waiting times are absurd. Salaries in EU are low and taxes are way high, despite having great wlb and possibility to obtain citizenship.
If you think about it, being in India makes a lot of sense as you can save a lot of money, and be close to your family.

How’s Canada

Is it a good place to move to? The job opportunities seem bleak. Are there any good job search engines I can check?
