I was in the same boat few years back, I think there are two options

  1. Do an MBA and transition
  2. Apply to smaller companies as an SDE and try internally, this is generally doable in small companies

Thanks, I'm not planning for MBA right now, really don't want to study again :\ I have offers for PM intern at few startups, but the pay/stipend is really low. Not able to understand would it be okay to leave my High paying SDE job for a low paying intern position, I feel I can get the ppo, but still is it worth taking the risk? Also what did you choose at your time?

Are you unable to get interviews or unable to crack them?

An internship might not be the best idea I think You can try looking for Associate/Junior PM roles that will still be a step down but a better option I had planned on doing an MBA for a very long time so I went ahead and dead that
