Unable to switch job in Devops Engineer Field

Hi All,

I need suggestion from everyone from software/cloud/devops industry. As right i in a very worst condition. After working 2 years straight as aws cloud engineer i joined a product based company which promised that the work i’ll be doing is will be related cloud, devops and automation. But since one year i haven’t got any work which was promised else they provide me work to automate onprem network devices automation that too i have to request my team to give me some work. As i am the only one in the team who knows automation and cloud related things. I try to gave some interviews but some say no because of current salary and for some of them they have very high expectations as i am 3 years experienced guy. Can anyone who have been through same situation please guide me or help as i really wanted to grow technically but i am unable to.

Been there, Was on the same situation in my second job role..

What helped me - Udemy course But most importantly the dedicated 30 mins everyday for learning everything related to devops

Remember I did for 3 months straight and landed the job of 3x salary .. It's a marathon, prepare and do it .. get the compound effect

After 3 years , Now on the same journey again , but this time for MLOps skillset..

Started this course, practicing regularly for 30 mins.. it's getting in to rhythm now again 😀

I would suggest do some certification courses in your related field like DevOps online. There are plenty of such courses which will make your transition easier.
