Urgent: Executive MTech from IIT?

Hey All,

Need your advice here.

I have 3 years of experience in MNC and a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering

IIT Jodhpur is offering a Executive MTech in Artificial Intelligence (learning online and exams offline) First year is PG Diploma in AI Fee- 3,25,000/-

If scored well and got a LOR from IIT-J professor then direct admission to MTech AI second Year. Fee for second year is 2,40,000/-

Learning will be online on weekends and we have to visit exam center for our semester examinations.

Is it worth to go for it?

Considering its in accordance with new NEP 2020, the curriculum would be more flexible than its offline counterpart. Only you'll miss out the IIT culture that could only be realised offline.

If this degree is only starting this year then expect that there'll be an experimental approach on how they run things and it may take time for things to finally get standardized.

Anyways at the end it'll be equivalent to a regular offline M.Tech degree, and better than any degree from XYZ institute.

Executive Degree started from 2022 I believe. It is available on the website of IIT Jodhpur.
The curriculum is entirely same as that of Regular MTech Degree and we get campus immersion too.(9-10 days every semester campus visit).
And yes, it is approved by UGC and supreme court. So the degree awarded is similar to that of Regular MTech Degree at the end of 2 year course.

Then what's there to worry about, I got a friend who's doing the same from IIT kgp and so far acc to him, the content is well worth it, only it takes some time to adjust ur schedule to make time for this

On degree nothing is mentioned like ‘online’ ‘remote learning’ or something similar, but not sure about semester transcripts
