What can India do to retain its wealth and talent?

Favorable tax policies are an obvious one, but the current govt doesn't seem to be inclined towards better taxation for any income slab as of now.

What other points need to be worked on? Infra, health, security etc? What should be the highest priority?

Honestly there isn't any solution. Europe has the luxury of providing fuckton of free services on high tax rate cause there are like 5 people in their country.

Like in SDE, "every problem is a problem at scale"

When you have 2 million people as the total population, you can literally track each and every individual and get to know their well being. We on other hand are so many, the numbers and process stop making sense.

Brain drain is definitely gonna happen no matter how much nationalism u preach. I am an Indian only till it doesn't affects me directly otherwise.

Is it though? Countries like Singapore and Dubai setup free trade zones and sandboxes to accelerate businesses. What's stopping us?

curious to know. I remember fiscal strategy was quite different from other countries during covid.

the government focused on infrastructure related expenses rather than direct benefit transfer.

Should the tax slabs start at 12 LPA?

Don’t you think it’s kinda not fair to tax people especially in metro cities who earn less than a lakh a month. The cost of living in these places are already so high and due to that they may not even be able to make any investments. 12 ...
