I don’t think the search volume is low. It’s quite significant. But relatively lower to English
Less than English only because less documentation. The more we invest in Indic languages, the more content we will be able to create and translate.
I think Indians are creating and capable of creating way more local content than currently happens in English due to sheer numbers, but i could be wrong.
Sarvam partnered with meta, nvidia and iitm. This is more of lift lllama and port in indic. The infra and model are no innovation. Data labelling, training, testing may be focused efforts. Now there might be model quantization but aa such its a more pr news.
