What should be the right wage for part time tech consultant in the semiconductor domain?

I have an interest from a party to advise them on a semiconductor project they are exploring. I intend to associate with them as part time consultant.

Can you guys suggest what is the right market rate for such services? Is it charged on per hour basis or monthly basis?
