What's stopping everyone from working in a Tier 2 or tier 3 city?
I know a lot of companies are hiring for roles with competitive offers that are in sync with Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Why not stay away from metros given the right opportunities? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Aasmaan se gire khajoor me atke.
Why would I move from Khajuraho only to work in Kanpur?
Quality of life in Tier 1 is just way better.
Well because I was born here and I don't know anything about tier 2 or 3 cities and all my family and extended family also lives here
+1 Tier 2/3 kaha rahu?
@BiryaniEnthu bro if you’re actually freelancing/remote full time, then consider Dehradun. It has an airport, great cafes, hospitals, schools, and amazing mountain views. You can just hop to different hillstations/mountains any weekend for a hike/trek.
It’s super easy to get bored in a Tier 2 city. You can explore everything that the city has to offer in less than a year. After that, it gets repetitive.
Plus, the competitive edge and opportunities you get by talking to people and participating in offline events is unreal. While this is difficult in a Tier 1 city, it’s impossible in Tier 2. In a Tier 1 city, I can have go meet folks working on a variety of different things and everyone will be in a 30km radius. In a tier 2 city, I might be able to learn about business and India 2/3’s necessities but never about India 1.
I live in Tier3 city (Remote Job). Cost of living is very less, And I get to eat everything fresh like Vegetables, Milk, Meat.., it’s a luxury these days . Plenty of restaurants, movies available as well.
As others are pointed out I don’t get bored, married with Kid and no pub person as well. I absolutely enjoy everyday sunrise, greenery, fresh air and calmness.
