What's your favourite note taking app ?

I've tried several note-taking apps and finally settled on Joplin.

  • Appflowy: Frustrating that you can’t create more notebooks—everything just ends up in the default "personal" notebook. Why even have a default if you can’t add more?
  • Anytype: Too fancy for my taste.
  • Zoho Notebook: Just don’t bother.
  • Notion: Not responsive enough.
  • Obsidian: Requires a subscription for sync , syncing to github repo doesn't work on mobile app.
  • Evernote: Not responsive, gets bombarded with subscription pop-ups. Only allows one notebook and one device without a subscription - unusable.
  • OneNote: Pretty good, but I prefer Joplin’s UI.
  • Google Keep: No notebooks; can only assign and sort notes by tags. Good for basic stuff like grocery lists or temporary notes.

Some people swear by Apple/Samsung Notes, but that's locking into their ecosystems.

Notion.
Been looking at some of the new fancy AI note taking apps but they all seem a bit off to me.

I'm using obsidian without any issue, you'll find plugins for syncing, there's a plugin "Remotely save", I've configured it to sync using google drive, works without any issue. But yes obsidian is like linux, it'll require some time for initial setup. I'd tried notion earlier but it was not customizable enough.
