If you are asking this question on an internet forum trusting random strangers, index funds are suitable for you. Sensex or nifty, either one. You can use the head and tails.

Have been doing SIP on Mirae Asset Large Cap for last 2 yrs, I see a a XIRR of 9-10%. Not best of the lot, but the whole point of large cap is wealth creation over a long time, so a decent bet.
