Why are flights so expensive nowadays?

So why are domestic flights more expensive than International flights?

I was checking flight to Ranchi for today it is showing 21k

While today's flights for Bangkok is 14k flight for Dubai is 13k flight for hongkong 16k

Lack or competition.

GoFirst is in a Coma. Spicejet is in the ICU. Akasa pilots deserted them. Air India is being rebooted. Transformation is slow. Vistara doesn't have a wide enough network. Indigo is the only standing (flying) airline.

If question is why are the prices high this month in comparison to other Months in this year - it's seasonal time. It's always high for past couple of years.
