Why is everyone into Bills

Is the integration of bill and utility payments into apps primarily driven by the desire for an additional revenue source, or does it represent a highly profitable model, especially for apps with widespread distribution?

Google pay has good revenue and profitable. Unlike phonpe Paytm it's not a super app. Only earning from bills, utility.

So it is valuable in revenue and for growth as well

Bill payment use case is used for stickiness: it is a recurring things and makes the user come back to the app often. It increases the MAU and gives the app one more shot at selling users their other/main offerings. It’s a cost effective way to keep up engagement.
