Why is finding a decent 1Bhk so hard here ?

Bengaluru fam - Please help me understand this.

I've been looking for a flat for moving in with my girlfriend with whom I'll be marrying in 2025. Since we're just 2 people, we just need a small flat in a 1Bhk/1RK setting

In our 1 week search, we just found 2 flats, both of which didn't allow couples to move in. The others we saw were wayyyyy out of our budget of 25k. And some of them asked for a deposity of over 1.5 Lakhs.

We're a peaceful couple, not interested in socializing or drinking in house. It's so freaking exhausting to find a decent place to even stay here.

Has anyone else also experienced the same situation like us ?
