Why live when we are anyway gonna die

""Why live when we are anyway gonna die""

Guys, this thought has been haunting me for a while now. I'm not depressed. I do not have any ailment but just the general sense of whatever we are doing is simply an escape from the ultimate truth of life i.e. Death, which is the only inevitable truth. Even me writing this confession is an escape from the truth. You reading this confession is an escape from the truth.

So why not face the truth ASAP which is anyway going to come my way? I am anyway living ordinary life like billions of others doing 9-5 jobs. Anyway our existence is insignificant to the universe. If I die tomorrow, maybe some people will sob or cry for few days, but then life will go as usual eventually.

What are your thoughts on the meaninglessness of our existence and death?

Oh I read/ heard this somewhere. Just because it has to end, doesnt mean we end it now, do we?

When you start a movie you know for a fact it will end but you watch because you know entertainment hoga!

Peace :)

Create your own meaning. Have you ever played a video game? All the things you do in it—missions, following the story, petting this dog, naming that horse, or watching NPCs do silly things—are ultimately meaningless; just a bunch of pixels, zeroes, and ones. Have you read a book, following a character and storyline, feeling bad when the character gets stuck or sorrow when they lose someone or experience heartbreak? Why do all those moments matter? They are just a bunch of symbols on the wooden plank we gave meaning to.

Life is just like that. After finishing, you put the controller or book away, watching the credits roll with a slight emptiness but also the joy of having experienced it.

Life has meaning because we create it. We are human; that's what we do—we add and create meaning to things.

This comment is ultimately meaningless but this is how it felt writing this:

If we're supposed to die anyway, why not do something good and enjoy our time while we're here. It's about the journey, not the destination

Since it is all meaningless, it is actually pointless to think about it in the first place.

Just live your life, keep yourself and your close ones happy. That's all that really matters.

Here's how I think, it's dark void before and after life, so just enjoy the colors while they last!

You live so that you can see Australia win another World Cup. That's the meaning of life.

Life is provided by God to release your Karma, enjoy life. If we forcefully die, karma will not leave you until it is released. Need to keep this point in mind.

The point is not just to live but to feel alive. To live our lives the way we want to. But we cant live that way because something or the other is not fulfilled. It could be financial independence, or it could be the absence of a right partner or it could be that perfect balance of emotions and what not.
And whatever we do in our lives is moving us towards those unfulfilled goals.
Some become spiritual leaders while some become business owners, while most people like us get stuck somewhere in that 9-5 job. Anyway, if these thoughts are bothering you too much, take a break and go on a vacation or just start your own business.

[Thread] What is according to you makes life worth living?

If you ask me, the purpose of life has to be more than climbing a self-constructed ladder.

Like, it has to be more than a 3BHK in a metro, with two kids, a car and a prestigious job at a faceless corporation, 2 weeks of vacation and a ...
