Would you consider living in a tier 3 town if the guy is well-established?

Looking for opinions: If a guy is settled in a tier 3 town, earning a good income, owns a large house, and has a couple of businesses, with supportive and open-minded family, and no bad habits, would you consider moving there?

About the guy:

  • 6 feet tall, well-mannered, average-looking, with a good nature
  • Recently received a marriage proposal, parents are asking me to consider but want to leave final decision to me.

The town might not have a lot of activities, but it offers a strong family environment and a spacious home. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Just because he has good income, doesn't mean its going to be yours. Just because he has a big house, doesn't mean he is going to give it to you.
Living in a tier 3 city, business family= No travel. Stay at home, take care of family, entertain guest 24x7. Life is not going to be easy. If you are up for it then you should consider. Else consider you are locking youself in a golden cage.

Living in big house as the malkin, getting an opportunity to contribute in multiple business, an environment conducive to grow a big family is golden cage?

Let me guess working 18 hrs for a series A startup, that focuses on changing the world by building an app that delivers cola within 10 mins, for an ungrateful boss who will crib about people not being committed enough only to get fired because the funds raised was used to buy a BmW for the founder who was thinking about the company strategy is a 7 star hotel is the definition of freedom . I support this freedom. Let's struggle to End patriarchy.

Tier 3 towns have better quality of life than cities right now. If the family owns multiple businesses then life is probably going to be pretty chill. You can always travel to tier 1 towns occasionally to party and catch up with friends, that's what I do.

But yes, you should be self sufficient and independent in keeping yourself occupied with stuff imo. Even tier 2 and 3 cities need the events and activities of tier 1, maybe you can start a side hustle yourself.

Everything else is secondary, guy should be compatible with you. As long as that's fine, everything else will fall in place.

Don't listen to these people. Your regressive selection criteria suggest that you'll fit right in

I would give up my job to live in a Tier 3 city. They have good air , calm and peaceful environment , Less People and the people who would actually care about you.. Less dust , a slow easy and comfortable life with lots of time to learn new habits and do what you coudnt learn earlier due to time constraints.. Its my opinion but I personally find no life in big cities .You work like a labour from morning and reach home around 8-9 pm .. and live only on weekends.. what kind of shitty life is this... You run the rat race to earn more money , whose lion share goes to pay the necessities which are costly due to stupid reasons like rent in big cities... Thats not a life i feel... totally my opinion though..

Are you marrying the guy or the town? Compatibility trumps everything else. If you understand each other well and have similar interests, everything else can be figured out. Open-minded and supportive family is a huge plus too.

Even if a 100 women on this forum say they will, how does it change what you feel about the guy and the situation? Don’t get influenced by what others think and do, they have their own priorities and life choices. Understand what matters to you and how you want to live your life and take the choices accordingly. At the end of the day, you will have to live with both the pros and cons of your decision.

Aaj me time pe achi city mil jati ha but ache ldke nhi milte. If you think he has good nature, will be understanding and will be a good husband toh fir opinions mt lo. Ankhe bnd kro aur krlo.

Since, he is earning well you can go on trips and after that one can stay peaceful and healthy in any city.

do you work right now? will you have to quit your job to shift to tier 3 town? or will you work remotely? I think being financially independent is more important than whichever city you live in.

No I will not. Considering the medical facilities are not at par when compared to tier 1 cities. Secondly, less freedom and people judge alot. Third, job and growth opportunities. Job market is not that good and when there is need to reduce workforce they get impacted alot.

What's stopping everyone from working in a Tier 2 or tier 3 city?

I know a lot of companies are hiring for roles with competitive offers that are in sync with Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Why not stay away from metros given the right opportunities? Would love to hear your thoughts.
