Zepto - I don't understand

Ab ho gya na fundraise? What's the point of saying these things now. You are not listed. You have already raised close to $1bn. It's not like this is bringing new customers. What's the point of all this PR now? Why not focus on execution instead of saying things that will bite you in the ass in the future

I still don't understand. A Zomato needs to do it because they are listed. A swiggy needs to do it because they are getting listed. Zepto has raised money enough for 2 years (at least). There's no advantage in beating your own drum. You are telling the people from whom you aee taking share - Beware. Then a Flipkart comes into QC. A random Delhivery (which gets affected if commerce growth slows) says we are building dark stores for QC. You are actually forewarning them

Actually Amazon India retail is in drains. They mistook hyperlocal market in India and after being beaten badly by Flipkart and Meesho in retail, now their customers are shifting to Hyperlocal. Actually blinkit itself is 1/4 of what Amazon retail is. If it goes like this, Amazon will soon have to pivot or move out of India. Same condition as of Snapdeal

Very interesting. What would be Blinkit (% Flipkart retail)? Also, are you guys also feeling pressure of QC taking away share in non-grocery categories?

Check recent news about D2C brands on ecommerce and quickcom + reason of Amazon India head quit. Obviously Flipkart is also feeling the burn from Quick Commerce that is the reason within 4 months Flipkart has launched minutes to counter the quick business. Amazon with lazy ass attitude has now got 5 big competitors to handle who have deep pockets. Earlier it was just Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.. now its different. In Middle east Delivery Hero and Noon is dominating.. If it remains like this, Amazon will become regional ecommerce player

If they sutar ve till end of 2025, lets see. Every loss making startup compares itself with amazon. the economy and ecosystem was different back then.

When Indian startup compare themselves with amazon, it's like every teen who got himself a cricket bat thinks he is the next kholi

Amazon was profitable before Prime. Everyone forgets that. Every fourth quarter they would show that they are profitable and Bezos would say to Wall Street, one for you, three for me

India's 109th unicorn?

I had heard Waycool was also talking to raise at unicorn valuation, but they've fired like 300 people on Monday, so that's pretty uncertain. What to make of Zepto, though?
