I'm changing my job and the city. I've found a room in a house in a gated society exactly opposite my new office. My house expenses including rent + maintenance+ wifi + electricity + misc would be ~30% higher than my target budget. Pros - no traffic headache, zero travel time Cons - can't give WFH as an excuse to not go to the office I guess there are more pros and cons that I can't think of right now. Thoughts?

Can someone explain to me what exactly is the work or role of a product manager? I see everyone aiming for that role in an organisation. I have recently passed my 12th( commerce stream ) and I am trying to figure out what to do next in life.

When I say a big company, I mean $50B+ market cap. I think PMing at a smaller scale is much more intense in terms of work load. You are constantly doing a lot of 0-1/1-10/10-100. But what about 100++ companies/products? What does a PM at Gmail do? How do they fill up their day? I mean how many experiments can one perform? Is PMing at that scale majorly just project management? For PMs who moved from high growth startups to companies like PayPal, Google, Microsoft -- do you get bored?

I know the JD but still not sure what’s a PMO since I don’t have any experience also what’s the growth like in that role?

The way I see it growth = acquisition + activation. Do you agree with this definition?

Especially if you're in an organisation for less than a year. I see people boasting about a 20% increment, but I understand that they're experienced professionals. I know that something more than 5 would be good enough(?) as I still have the imposter syndrome, but let me know how much one should expect if it's quarterly, and after 1 year. Thanks.
