Need advice.

Previously I worked in Persistent Systems for 2 years. Recently my hr called me to share the screen and resign. They have given me 7 days time to submit laptop and all the assets, leave the company. I just want to understand can't we do anything if they asked to do force resign. Because I have been in this company for 2 years, past 6 months they started doing this for atleast 40 employees per month only from my branch Hyderabad . Now it has become per week because they don't have projects and lot of projects are going to end in few months and already few projects moved out because when I spoked with senior in the company they are saying projects signed for 5 year's contract has now not interested to move. I asked why because of internal company politics, favouritism, fake and backdoor employees, over commitment due to these projects are not delivered in given deadline. How employees Will look for another oppurtunity in 7 days, also in my case when said to my recruiter that I am laid off they didn't schedule interview call then I changed my plan started saying them that I am having offer of A from x company going to join in next 15 days, then they shared scheduling interview. Won't there be any legal action we can take on employer as an employee in this cases.

A friend of mine left a small startup (less than 10 people) because they were paying him peanuts inspite of high workload (9am to 11pm, remote work) and were not willing to give any raise (they were paying him less than 50k per month after working for them for 6 years). They often used the carrot dangling tactics where they would promise him and the others for "bright future ahead", which would eventually fizzle out to nothing but excuses. Now that he has left, they are not clearing his FnF settlement of last 2 month's salary but are asking him to return his laptop. They are saying that they don't have any money and the current clients are not paying anything, and they can only pay when the clients pay them. Can they take any action if he decides to not return the laptop till his FnF settlement is cleared ? PS: the laptop is clean, no monitoring software installed. It had been completely formatted before being given to him. So it's as good as a personal laptop.

Hello I belong to an edtech startup in bangalore, The company has not paid me and the other emoloyees for past two months. No idea what to do here! suggestions are welcome.

I resigned from TCS after serving for about 11 month just 1 month short of 12 month bond period of 50k They want to me pay somewhere around 48k adjusted with leave available at that time. It's been more than 2 years now. I received a notice from a third party law firm ( not court ) asking to pay a bond amount which is around 48k + interest @18%. What can be done in this scenario also my monthly payment was around 22k at TCS It seems they want to take all what they gave me no value for my 11 month of work.When i look back I don't see any good of joining TCS it is very frustrating. They did not send any court notice but if they go without sending after sometime at this rate of @18 they gonna ask my personal property this is the best business model i think as of now I don't know which FD or mutual fund gives 18 % return.

Hi! So I have resigned from my company as I am pivoting towards Law and joining Law School. My program starts in first week of July. However my contract states 90 days of notice period. They have agreed to relieve me before my university joining date however they are asking for notice period advance recovery amount i.e equivalent gross salary for the days of notice period not served I cannot move my date of joining as I have to join on campus by first week in July. The Notice Period Recovery amount is a significant amount. Also since I am pivoting in a new career, my hypothesis here is that I do not require experience or relieving letter How do I navigate through this maze? Anyone who has experienced similar issues and can suggest ways to negotiate and go about it? Thanks

Hello Grapevine fam, I want to share my story and get everyone's suggestions on how to proceed. I have been working with this startup for more than two years. Recently, my manager and HR head called me for a meeting and said I wasn't living up to their expectations and they wanted me to resign. In the same discussion they said, the company would be paying 2 months salary as severance pay and my LWD would be in June since the notice period here is 2 months and this would help me in my job hunt. So having faith in this company, I resigned. Right after that my manager and the HR head is not legally acknowledging the two months of my salary as severance pay. And the very same day, they sent me the experience letter which had the same day as my last working day, despite them mentioning my LWD would be in June. How do I proceed now? I have given my best to the company in the last two years. But things turned out this way, very dejected and disappointed with the startup.

The company haven’t paid us 3-6months of salary saying that there’s a delay in raising VC funds. They also didn’t pay TDS and gave us Form 16 for ITR. I reached out to our client company where I worked briefly and they were happy to offer me a job there. I’m dangerously out of money in savings and it’s still uncertain in my current company about any funds. So I have given a early date to him because I really need their salary and joining bonus to survive actually. I thought I can immediately relieve from my current company as I don’t have finished projects and haven’t involve in new. But they are not responding to my calls and mail requesting for immediate resignation. What should I do now ?

Hi Guys, I am currently working at a startup and was previously working at an IT MNC for 3 months. I was put on the bench and laptops/assets were not even delivered for 2 months of requesting. When the assets arrived there was 3 weeks of compliance and regulatory training before which my position was eliminated as a result of business restructuring and downsizing. I got my startup offer (strategy type role)by then and I resigned from the IT firm with proper reliving letter and fnf settlement. I have now got an offer from a boutique consulting firm(after working in my startup for around 6 months) . I have however not mentioned this IT mnc in my resume at all since I did not gain any kind of work experience at this firm and it was not adding any value to my resume in terms of the types of roles I am looking for, I wanted to keep my other internships and startup tenure as they were more valuable. I have been asked to submit previous employers service certificate on DOJ in new firm. I am not sure if I should submit the same or not. And if I do could this lead to revoking of my offer from the firm. Please advice me on this. I am a 2022 passout
