TCS BOND Culture

I resigned from TCS after serving for about 11 month just 1 month short of 12 month bond period of 50k They want to me pay somewhere around 48k adjusted with leave available at that time. It's been more than 2 years now. I received a notice from a third party law firm ( not court ) asking to pay a bond amount which is around 48k + interest @18%. What can be done in this scenario also my monthly payment was around 22k at TCS It seems they want to take all what they gave me no value for my 11 month of work.When i look back I don't see any good of joining TCS it is very frustrating. They did not send any court notice but if they go without sending after sometime at this rate of @18 they gonna ask my personal property this is the best business model i think as of now I don't know which FD or mutual fund gives 18 % return.

I understand the frustration, but sometimes it's about picking your battles wisely. Going toe-to-toe with a big company in a legal fight can be draining, both financially and emotionally. If they're sticking to what was agreed upon in the contract, it might be best to bite the bullet and pay up. Take it as a lesson learned: be cautious about signing contracts you might not be able to fulfill down the line. Maybe setting aside a bit each month (5k) to chip away at the debt could be a manageable way to handle it within a year.

File a case in labour court. Org can demand bond amount only if they spend amount in the training. Which to my knowledge should be nothjng

If I don't pay them they at least won't give a service certificate which might be required in bgv in the next companies

Back in 2021, I joined a small company as a fresher with a promised CTC of 3.2 LPA and a 3-year bond. Now, almost three years later, the previous company's advocates are sending me notices demanding 3 lakh rupees as bond repayment, and I even received a notice from the civil court yesterday. I'm not sure what to do next. Do you think this will affect my future job prospects? I have records of that company in my PF account, but I don't consider it as part of my work experience. Do you think future employers will ask for documentation for all companies listed in my PF records?

One of my friends, who is highly talented and an adept competitive programmer, recently received an offer from "Tech Mahindra" with a package of 3.25 LPA and a 2.5-year service bond. Given the current tough economic climate, should he accept this offer or wait and prepare for better opportunities? Additionally, if anyone can refer him to opportunities in their current company, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help and insights!
