Seeking Advise !!!
One of my friends, who is highly talented and an adept competitive programmer, recently received an offer from "Tech Mahindra" with a package of 3.25 LPA and a 2.5-year service bond. Given the current tough economic climate, should he accept this offer or wait and prepare for better opportunities? Additionally, if anyone can refer him to opportunities in their current company, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help and insights!
I think taking it is better if no other offer is currently in hand. And also given that your friend doesn't have any higher studies/govt job aspirations.
Take it, and side by side prepare well for other jobs, once any good offer comes (atleast 6 lpa) then he should break the bond by paying the bond breaking amount.
In Tcs , it was 50k (dont know about tech mahindra). If we have better offers, then we can simply pay that amount and move on.
But breaking the bond I think they do not give the experience certificate and also it will create an bad impression while applying for other companies
I haven't heard of such kind of thing. I don't know who spreads such of panic in the workforce.
If you get better opportunity, you should move out, thats basic favor, you are doing to yourself.
Anyway take legal opinion by spending some money.

In my view, it's wise to wait and prepare for better opportunities, particularly avoiding any offers that come with bonds. Accepting such offers means sacrificing your freedom upfront, which I consider a significant detriment.

I understand, but if he truly feels he is capable of more, he should try for more. But, I was in the same situation, I joined anyways, because I feel having a actual work experience helps in building resumes. When I got an offer broke my bond with that company and left. Had to pay a fine of 50k but was worth it.
But again, I still recommend try for other companies and keep that as a back up in worst case scenario.

Don't join when there is such clause of bond on top of that they might have 90 days NP which already turn away recruiters.Had it been only the 3.26lpa and no bond then it would have make sense to join if getting no opportunities.Apply to other companies aggressively and across all possible job platforms.As he is good in DSA if he knows/learns some development then he can get good offers.Rest is his decision.
u should wait if u r talented enough. Company have created such havoc environment because they know people like will join at low wage, even we deserve much better
If there is no service bond, I would suggest to take the offer, join the company, learn the stuff along with System Design from Arpit Bhayani, and switch after an year for a good hike

If he is good and has got skills. He should definitely wait.
Opportunities are there, believe me.
Go and ask for referrals as much as possible.
I have recently switched my company( 1.5 yoe).
I got laid off and was able to get a job in 2 weeks.
Don't join the company with bond and 3m NP
