Isb mba - reality of placements and roi

Are there a lot of differences between 1 year and 2 year mba? How is the career growth for 1 year MBA as compared to the 2 year one? Network? Placements? Talking about tier 1 colleges for both. And also, for a GEM, how much experience is too high for 2 year MBA?

How is ISB managing to substantially increase the avg CTC of its cohorts, year after year.

Hello! I'm standing at a career crossroads and could really use some perspective. Profile : -YOE-3yrs. -2 years in a technical role and - 1year working as a Project manager in a well known MNC. - Graduated from a well-known T-2 college engineering college. I've always wanted to be in a managerial role. I feel like I'd definitely do better in such a role, in the long run. I'm considering going for an MBA at ISB, but – the idea of taking on a 45-lakh loan is giving me pause. Coming from a middle-class background, it's a significant financial commitment. Plus, the job outlook for Product roles is fuzzy, and I'm not entirely sold on the consulting scene either. The big question is whether an MBA from ISB would really pay off. If you've gone through a similar decision-making process or have insights, navigating a career shift post-MBA, or just general advice on making a call like this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Anybody here who has done or has any views on the 12 week course by ISB for product management, is it good or just another gimmick course? Also planning my next move so looking at the next courses to upskill!

What kind of salaries can someone expect with 0-5 years of experience after an MBA from ISB???

Very confused and have very less time to finalize

I've heard lots of conflicting good and bad viewpoints on ISB on Grapevine and otherwise. I want to explore these things more and build a balanced perspective. Good things I've heard:- 1. Average comp is decently high as most of the batch has a decent amount of experience. 2. Professors, their way of teaching and the actual course content is one of the best in India. 3. The network is really strong, easily accessible via many channels and helps alumni land jobs frequently. Bad things I've heard:- 1. Placement comp numbers are heavily inflated. 2. Resume shortlisting in placements is hard because everyone exaggerates a lot and there's no resume vetting. 3. Many people go unplaced. How much of this (good or bad) is true? Any other good or bad points?
