Strategy Roles - Interview/Preparation Advice

I am seeking positions in Strategy, such as Corporate Strategy, Growth, and Revenue strategy roles. I am having a reasonable understanding of these positions and the recruitment process. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could offer additional insights on the recruitment process, interview structure, types of questions asked, and what recruiters typically look for in candidates and any other relevant information. Hello Everyone, I am a 2018 BTech (NIT) pass out and 2022 IIM pass out with a total of 2.2 years of Workex (1.2 yrs post-MBA) and currently working as an Associate Product Manager. I am not really enjoying my role and I feel Product Management is not suitable for me because of multiple reasons some of them being, 1. I am doing issue resolutions rather than problem-solving which I love to do. 2. I am not very much interested in driving technical discussions or solving technical challenges in the process of Product Development which is the case in my current role. 3. I want to be part of a Business role where I can leverage the knowledge I have gained during my MBA and work on some problem statements related to the core businesses of the company. 4. There is no skin in the game of a PM compared to Devs, QAs, and Designers. As a PM I feel I am just delegating, prioritizing, and following up with the requirements. Most of my learnings are around managerial aspects and not business knowledge. 5. I want to be a part of business roles where I can go deeper into problems and come up with my recommendations/thoughts on them. I am looking for new roles where Strategy, Analysis and Core Business Problem solving are involved. I am really not sure what kind of roles are these. Please help me with the roles I can explore and how to approach the job search for such kinds of roles. Thanks In Advance.

Hi, as the title suggests - I am looking for roles in the growth/strategy or product analytics based fields. I have more than 4.5 years of experience and it mostly consists of consulting, business and product analytics heavy projects. For the past year I have been mostly working as a data engineer specific role and want to make a switch. If you come across such roles or if your company is hiring then do let me know. Hi i work in Investment banking (back end) profile. However after 4 years of spending in this team, my team has been changed to valuation team. The work in this team would take time for me to adept however to be frank I don’t like the work at all and see it to be not useful outside the team. Meanwhile I have been offered a corporate strategy associate role at a US based company. Can anyone please tell me as to how is a career in corporate strategy supposed to look, is changing the profile worth it anymore and what sort of work we do in strategy. Really need your inputs. I have 2.5 yoe in total, 1.5 in product. Was looking for a switch since Jan '24. Finally, an interview has been scheduled next week. Now, I have no clue what they are gonna ask in interview. I can explain what have I done and all, but no clue about case studies or framework etc. Would be great if someone could share their interview preparation strategy for product roles. Hello folks! I come with 4 years of work experience out of which I worked in very small but great agencies for 2 years. In the past 2 years, I’ve been on the growth generalist side but I’ve taken up some great amount of responsibilities. - I’ve driven user adoption for a feature from 0 to 1 million - I’ve worked with giants like Disney on their product strategy - I’ve handled budgets of $1 million for a year long campaign and successfully reached the target metrics - I’ve also closely worked with the leadership on several new initiatives, acting as a program manager I come from a non-tech undergrad background but honestly, I’ve worked on entire product cycle ranging from finding the right solution for different features, identifying third party providers to creating user flows and wireframes. I’m on the lookout for a new opportunity, already quit my job. Work has gotten rather crazy with so much time out but considerable change in leadership affecting me negatively, having to build credibility every time. I’ve had my manager change 4 times in a year. If you know any startups that would be happy to have me, I’d love an intro. Thank you!
