What's the best way to join a start up?

Hi everyone, I'm working in a pre-sales role at IBM. I completed MBA in 2023 and I feel that IBM is bit slow and bureacratic. I was hoping I would be able to switch to a startup. But I have a few questions - 1. Do startups pay well for MBA based roles too or is it only the dev team that get paid well? My comp at IBM is 25 LPA and I would like to be within similar range. 2. How do you find primarily about jobs in startups? Is LinkedIn the best source or are there other more effective methods to know about openings? 3. Do startups hire MBA folks with ~1 years of experience in MNCs or do they primarily look for fresh out of college people only? Is profile switch possible (i.e. from sales to finance/operations/supply chain etc)

I am a '21 graduate from a Tier 1 college (old IIT) and have had short stints as product manager at a couple of startups. About a year back, I decided to startup but after a few months, realized that startup idea wasn't worth pursuing. Researched around a few startup ideas and finally landed upon a good one in D2C space. But the problem is financing. I don't have much saving and friends / family network wouldn't be able to finance this. I really want to pursue this idea but finance is becoming a hindrance. So started looking for job opportunities about 3 months back. I have been exploring work opportunities in product / founder office / EIR roles or other generalist role. Job hunt process has been frustrating to say the least. Getting very few calls. In most cases, people are ghosting after couple of rounds of interview or assignment. In some cases, after getting through 2-3 rounds, I got to know that opening has been closed temporarily. Most HRs don't even have the decency to give feedback. I don't intend to work in job for long anyway. As soon as I have the job, I plan to start working on my business idea and quit as soon as I have enough financial leeway. How should I go about job hunt process? I have been trying to connect with folks on LinkedIn in whose company job openings are there. Apart from this, I have been connecting with founders from recently funded startups. Naukri / Instahyre and IIM Jobs are other portals I have been looking on. Anything I should do differently here? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions / experience.

I am a data engineer with 2 years experience in python, SQL, AWS, spark stack. I am looking for a switch and my priority is to get into startup as I get to learn a lot, atleast that's what I believe. I am not sure though how to get there. I am applying on naukri and LinkedIn, and I am unable to find startups to apply to. I can only see midsize businesses or big corporations. I don't know anyone who works for a startup, and don't know how to network with those folks specifically. It will be great if you people can provide guidance for networking and searching job in startup

How can one specifically target startups and succeed? While many pursue top MNCs or MAANG, getting entry can be challenging. I am keen on working with small startups. Has anyone experienced working in startups in Bengaluru or other locations where both good pay and learning opportunities are available? In terms of job search, is LinkedIn/Naukri or referrals more effective? When preparing for interviews, should one focus more on DSA rounds or development skills? What are the pors & cons or tips? Plz share your insights. Thanks

While earlier Naukri.com and Indeed used to wear the crown, lately I've been seeing this drastic shift in people around me that are trying to find a suitable job. On one hand LinkedIn is somewhere winning in this game, there are many newly emerged platforms offering Jobs by serving in niche categories. Want to know which platform you are using to find a job. P.s. : lately I've been applying through Levels.fyi
