US Visa Interview Experience

I have a Visa Appointment for B1/B2 US Visa. Can people here tell 1) What all documents I need to bring apart from the below which I am planning to take DS160 Passport Appointment confirmation Bank statement of last 1 year Current job proof Last 2 ITR 3 months salary slip Marriage Certificate My spouse B1/B2 visa 2) What all questions will they ask me? My main purpose to visit US is for leisure/holiday because my spouse extended family lives there… Should I clearly state this? Requesting people to share their experiences along with Dos and Don’ts. When's your interview slot ? Any tips to get an earlier slot ?

Anyone here who has applied for us tourist visa. I got the appointment for next year 2025 in july the waiting time is very long. I watched some videos and people say join the telegram group, chrome extension etc or check daily on the portal also you can only reschedule your appointments 3 times. Also is it true that immigration department releases slots very often and you just have to find dates? Please let me know if you have any suggestions or anything that helped you to get the appointment early

I'm a recent computer science graduate actively seeking internship opportunities in Product Management. I applied for a position at a fintech startup in Bangalore. After successfully passing the HR interview, they presented me with a case study involving an International Airline. My task was to propose and implement features to address the issue, which I complemented with UX designs. I advanced to the next interview round scheduled for last week, but no panel members joined the meeting despite waiting for 20 minutes. I contacted the HR, and they informed me that the panel was occupied and would reschedule. They rescheduled the interview for today at 4 PM, but at 3:50 PM, I received a call from the HR, notifying me that the panel was currently busy and rescheduling it to 6:30 PM. Just now, I received another call stating that the interview will be postponed to 12 PM tomorrow. This is only the initial round, with three more to follow. I'm curious, is it typical for companies to follow such lengthy and multi-round processes when hiring interns?

Hello guys, I'm planning to move to the USA through a consultancy. I have applied for a visa and it got picked up a few months back. Now I'm in the process of visa interview. I make 20 LPA in India. Is it a good idea to leave this job and move to USA to get a better job?

In short, I visited the US in 2018 for a exposure trip sponsored by the government as part of a startup competition I won with my team. Consequently, I now hold a valid B1/B2 visa until 2028. At times, I wonder how I could leverage this visa for my benefit. Currently, I have no engagements in the US but can visit friends there if I land there. I have a remote job with flexible hours, although I'm not sure if my company allows working from different time zones. However, I believe I could manage that somehow. Do you think it makes sense to go and stay there for some time to explore? I feel this could be beneficial in the long term. On the flip side, it's worth noting that this isn't necessary and may not be a wise financial choice. What do you guys think? What are your thoughts?

P.S. Not GenZ, but relate to vibe as a concept I've interviewed with multiple companies, and I'm starting to notice a pattern. Interviewers who: - Have their cameras off - Show up in old t-shirts, looking like they haven't washed their face or combed their hair - Roll their eyes when the answer isn't what they wanted to hear - Fidget around when you are speaking - Look anywhere but at the camera - Give in to itches all over the body 👀 among many others If we as interviewees are expected to be presentable and excited, the least interviewers could do is put in a little effort to appear decent and engaged.

Today, I had an interview for a job as a software developer. The person interviewing me started by asking if I could speak Hindi. I told him I could understand it but wasn't good at talking because I'm from South India. He gave me a mean smile, which made me feel really unsure of myself right away. 😔 We went on with the interview. He asked a question that was kind of a design question, and when I tried to answer, he didn't really listen. Even when I asked him some questions, he didn't give a good answer. He was busy with his phone, and it seemed like he wanted to say no to me. I'm feeling pretty down about it. 😞 I don't get why he acted like that, but now I feel dumb after doing the interview.

I have received an official communication to initiate the process of L1B visa. I have heard rumours that companies initiate and help you in getting the visa but when it comes to actually sending you to US they delay the travel by 3 months citing budget constraints. Anybody have heard or experienced this in their organisation? P.S. On the sidelines, I have secured and offer letter which is 2X my current CTC. I wanted to hear from this community, what would you do in this case? Considering L1B rumours mighty be some strategy to retain employees.
