H1 got picked Need Suggestion
Need suggestion. I have 10.5 years of experience. Recently h1 got picked through a consultancy. Interested move to the US. What's your opinion/thoughts/suggestion? Note: currently monthly income from the whole family (me and wife (9.5 exp) is 3.2 lakhs after all taxes) . We save around 1.7 lakhs monthly after all the monthly expenses. I have one kid(3 years daughter). My tech stack is Python, SQL, Pyspark, Azure Data engineering, Lakehouse Architecture.... started a second language as Java currently(interested to learn Rust).

You are already doing so well for India. If you dont have too many reasons to move why move?
To maintain the same life you need upwards of $300K in the US for your family at least
You mentioned “Consultancy”, did you mean some random firm which has temporary Job tie up with some unknown firm in US, just to get you H1B? If yes, it is a trap, don’t fall for it. I know a friend who has gone on such H1B and he felt trapped. He is getting 0 salary and is having to pay for the company paid income tax. Basically, many of these firms are gaming the system, just getting people H1B and then you are on your own about the Job there.
Not random my friend went last year and also we can check the consultancy is correct or wrong in myvisajobs.com and the job fully depends on you and the opportunities by consultancy. I even heard people staying without a job continuously for 8 months and generating the pay slips.
Ok, if you are willing to stay there for months, without a job, then there is nothing else to think.

Consider moving to US, if you're OK going alone.
Since you're going via consultancy, you'll be working as a contractor, and they charge commissions. Once you're settled for sometime there, plan on taking your family.
If you're not ok going alone, then you're better off in India!
Commission? I heard you get paid 0 salary initially and in stead have to reimburse them the tax amount. I don’t have full detail, but it looks like they just run a paper trail of a fake job while you search for your real job.

Better life , kid will have less pressure in learning. May have less completion. Pollution free, no traffic etc.. more opportunities

I wouldn't move considering ur income is pretty good here.
Thumb rule would be to use a salary parity calculator. Don't go below those digits.
