Mine was okay, started managing a new product/platform (matured one), lots of moving pieces. Kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai 🤷‍♂️ Still leading the calls with clients 😬 and leadership 🫤 Living each day as it comes

Recently, a friend joined a bank. He was late to office a few times. To “teach him a lesson”, manager “changed his desk”. When he asked the reason for this, manager said “this is your punishment for coming late to the office”. I mean, is this school-level micromanagement rampant in your org as well?

I thought I was the only one frustrated with meetings until my colleagues also mentioned they were not able to get work done because most of the day was spent on meetings Plus our boss (CEO) loves talking, anyway the meetings are agenda-less. He stretches 30 min calls to 2 hours and then has the audacity to question the productivity. Cannot tell me this, he gets very touchy when feedback is negative for him. And then writes sarcastic messages. Also, who wants to take up fights with person who pays your salary What to do in this case? I'm tired of working 12 hours each day

All the People Managers here, comment below, What do you really want out of your team and for yourself at work? Do you really enjoy micromanaging people and showing off your authority by hyper monitoring them and messing up their work life balance? Do you want to be respected and loved by your team or you just want to be feared by them to feel better about yourself? Using fear as a motivator does not really increase your team’s productivity you know? Please enlighten me 🙏

I have applied for leave for 2 days this Thursday n Fri, There’s certain important presentation came up on this Thursday. I said I have lay over for 3 hrs. I will do the presentation in that, no issues from my side. My manager said, no I don’t entertain such behaviours in my team. If you’re on leave, enjoy it. Don’t think about it work. I felt weird coz, I have never worked in any org, where managers stops you to work 😅
