Should I switch to Data/AI/ML?

I'm a mobile app developer with 6+ years of experience. I don't have much interest in data analysis/engineering/management related fields, neither do creating ML models excite me. But with everything being integrated with AI/ML these days... I feel a FOMO - should I switch fields in order to remain relevant?

FOMO of what? Moving to this area is not necessarily needs you to be working for any company. If you have spare time, just read the topics and do bit of hands on .

FOMO that if I don't position myself as an AI guy rn, I won't get good AI related jobs later. Because most HRs have experience as a filter. Additionally, building a skill takes time.

AI/ML projects are very limited. If they don’t see a proper use case. Most of the time, whole team is doomed. You see the picture from outer area which looks relatively amazing. Go read and do some certifications around this tech stack. Nptel, databricks etc has very good courses. Even if you plan to move, start with Data Engineering.

Jobs which will be created /not impacted by AI

A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for the upcoming shift? Like will data analytics/science or maybe ai/ml engineering jobs be on rise ? Should be start upskilling in those fields or any other suggestions? I would really like to know it from someone who has good experience in the industry or someone with good insight. Thanks

AI COMING FOR PRODUCT JOBS?

Can Ai take product jobs? Been planning to switch to either PRODUCT or DATA SCIENCE roles in 5/6 months, but kinda skeptical as what path I should go ahead with. Also with the AI advancing everyday and some tech bros taking about AI taking jobs makes me wanna wonder about the path I should go ahead with.Any recommendations will help, thanks. Currently am a java developer with 1.4 YOE and kinda find it boring (maybe its the project)

Hey everyone, I am just trying to understand the market right now..I have 7.5 years of experience and have been a senior consultant for a year or 2 now. Worked on RPA and other intelligent automation with career start as a Java associate developer. I have an in hand of 17lpa. What can I expect if I switch. I have been slowly moving towards ML and Gen AI. As I don't feel RPA will be there in some years. As gen ai is gonna take over everything. What do you guys suggest? Is it right time to switch?

Advice for switching from SDE to ML/Data fields

Hey guys, so I have been interning at a company for the past 9 months. They have offered me a ppo and I will most likely accept it. But my interest lies in the ML field or some data fields such as data engineering. Can anyone advice me how do I go about it? Like should go for masters(my undergrad degree is not CS or some pheonix branch). Should I learn on my own and keep giving interview. Or should I take some experience in sde and then switch? I'm confused. What next after Data Analyst?

I'm currently a Data Analyst with 6 months of experience. I would like to get into AI/ML and Robotics field. Planning to transition from my current role next year. I'm not sure whether I should become a Software engineer (preferably Backend) or ML Engineer or some Data Science role. I'm currently in Bangalore. Open to relocating to any state (or even country). In the longterm, I want to do something that has both software and hardware in it. Please explain your advice if you can afford some time. Thanks in advance. P.S.
