Should I consider doing Masters?

Hi, I am just confused about what to do next. Right now I am a fresher working at a service based company as a junior software engineer with a salary of 4LPA. Should I be working and shifting companies with work experience or do my Masters after about 2 years of work experience. I would love to get some advice from you folks Thanks.

I am currently working (2 yoe) at a decent service based startup (CTC 7L) but I feel like I could do much better. This job feels easy (nothing new to learn). #background I graduated in electrical from a tire II college, since I fell in ♥️ coding (thanks to robotics club and YouTube) i choose this career, but now looking at all the other profiles I feel i am not getting access to those cheese jobs, kind of those that have high scope to learn and earn. So I feel like getting into a top college and getting a masters in CS might help me. What do you all think ? [Thinking about Germany because of no tuition fees and safety]

Guys. Please suggest. I have been working in wipro since the last 4 years without much career growth. I'm planning to do an ms in cs next year , i.e fall 2025 . I wanna pursue an ms primarly bcoz of current stagnant career so that I can eventually switch to a good product based company post my masters in usa. And , also bcoz I can bear the costs financially. But I'm really scared to start all over again . I'll be 27 by the time I start my masters. Is it a good decision to start masters at 27? Will I be able to secure a core entry level SDE job in product based companies at the age of 29? Please guide me

I'm working as a software Engineer at a startup with almost 2 YOE. Looking at most of my friends going to usa for masters right after college i felt like I'm making a mistake by not doing the same after listening software engineers earning 100K us dollars there. I thought I'll give myself two years get some work experience and then think about it but honestly I'm still confused if i should switch(which is not proving to be so simple in the current job market) or should I go for masters (again confused here in choosing between usa or Germany or Australia). Will taking almost 40 Lakhs of loan money and doing it be worth it ? Seriously damn confused about what next step to take. When I spoke with the CTO here, he advised it's not worth and you can be earning almost similar money here soon. I'd say FOMO is also a big thing here. As i tell myself let's take the risk, 2 years of study will be done soon and then work for 3-4 years , make big money , repay the loan and get back to India. I'd be having the international exposure, experiencing some above average lifestyle than India , so confused man Any grapeviners who might have seen people around them taking this step please suggest me what to do, any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏

Hi, I want to work in either US or European countries. Is it possible to land there without doing masters? I am a software engineer and financially it’s hard for me to go for masters. Is it possible that I can apply from here and land a job in any of the companies in other countries?

I'm a 24yo M, into frontend engineering making over 18LPA. I'm also working part time for a startup. I'm considering masters in the UK, US or Canada on the same order of priority. my main reasons to even consider masters are the following - meet people from different backgrounds - get a better paying job with a work visa in a foreign country - FOMO as a lot of people i know from college are now abroad studying/working cons i see in this approach - heavy on the finances - economy isn't doing very well worldwide - job market is pretty bad rn - i have everything here in India (family, friends, a well paying job) my ideal case would be to get a visa sponsored job opportunity, but considering the economy and job market it seems impossible. would love to know opinions of some experienced folks or anyone who'd have some guidance for me. thanks.

I am 22yo and just graduated from a tier 3 college with Btech degree. Currently placed in a startup as a Frontend Engineer CTC 7LPA remote. I am confused should I prepare for masters and do that or should I work hard in FE and switch after 1-2 year for better pay. And what one should do? Masters in Cs or MBA , I know both are different but still confused.

Now I am having a fear of missing out, I applied for a few universities and I have got an admit in MS in CS. Is it worth it to migrate to another country and start again at this point of my career? I wanted to share my journey and seek advice on a concern I've been facing. After completing my undergraduate studies, I worked for two years before deciding to pursue a Master's in Advanced Computer Science in the UK, focusing on a thesis in Machine Learning as a part of course. This decision was driven by my passion for the field and a desire to advance my knowledge and skills.However, due to some family issues, I had to return to India after completing my master's. Since then, I've been working in one of the MNCs here again on developement with very less package 12.50LPA.My overall IT expereicne was 4+ in IT. Despite my efforts and the advanced degree I hold, I've noticed that my master's qualification hasn't been given much consideration; instead, my career growth seems to be solely based on my experience. I'm beginning to wonder if my decision to pursue a master's abroad has been more of a hindrance than a help in the Indian job market. I would appreciate insights from this community on a few points: -->Is a Master's degree valued differently in India compared to other countries? -->How can I better leverage my advanced degree to benefit my career here? -->Have others faced similar challenges, and how did you navigate them? -->Do we really need to have better network in India to go to big positions? Hey everyone, I recently saw a lot of my college seniors moving abroad for higher studies after a couple years of experience in corporate. I graduated in July 2023 and currently work as a software developer for a US based startup (remote). I'm curious to understand when one should decide to do a masters abroad? What are the benefits? Should I invest my time to prepare for interviews and switch in future or prepare for admission to a masters degree? A bit confused about what to do next...!!
