18+ yoe, software architect, seeking advice on side hustle

I have full stack development experience and I still code. I work with a product company on healthcare domain.

I want to build something solo as a side hustle. And with the tech knowledge I have acquired, I am 100% confident I can build it. I’ve already gathered some mobile app/platform ideas and have been working on a few of them. Doing some research as well.

The thing I lack is a strategy and direction to reach prospective users. I have no idea about how startups operate. I have never been into freelancing either. I know nothing about regulations and law. I have only a limited knowledge about investment.

My short term plan is to finish building some MVP features of the apps and publish them to Playstore/AppStore. (I’m sorry, I do not wish to reveal the ideas now)

How to reach users 0-1, 1-10 and 10-100? How should I plan financially?

Isn’t it possible to go solo? I have someone in the US who has agreed to help me in coding. But he has only 2 years of experience. One advantage is he can give me US insights. I don’t want to induct more members as no one is ready for commitment. Or people just back out even after committing to it.

Btw, I am not active on social media. My network in the internet world with people isn’t great.

I’m seeking advice from you guys on areas that I need to consider to make my app/platform grow. All this, is going to be side hustle.

Different perspective- This thing —> I want to build something by my own has taken away peace for many.

If you are someone who is good in tech then do that . Rather then doing everything by urself , find someone who can do the other stuff.

There are so many steps to put something in market. Approvals , compliances etc etc .

You are good at tech and believe me , it is the skill which many good founders are searching for..

You need to find them. A cautious effort needs to be made.

To me tech is the best space to be in , far from chaos. You will earn good .

doesn’t matter if product works or not , just change the company and there will always be plenty of work available if someone is good in tech.

The reason I want to build my own is I believe that’s the only thing I am good at. I hardly like managing people, rather I get a sense of fulfillment when I build with my own hands. Anyway, thanks for your perspectives. I appreciate it.

Indie hacker is your site.

Just copy all American software and sell them a bit cheaper.

We Indians are way better in software.
