Losing a parent

I can relate with your situation, I had losted my father at the age of 20 which was totally unexpected (any situation in life is unpredictable). It was very very hard even not expressing how much it holds feelings. But along with the time i had been into depression for 3.5 years since then now seeing things have changed for me. Life is beautiful journey accept the nature and everything..Allow yourself to walk on his good deeds and everything you gained from your beloved father make him proud by showing how much strong and courageous you are..it will take time to you in acceptance. And expect anything from anyone for understanding yourself.. First this is you who should love accept and understand yourself..be support to your family don't be harsh on your emotions and mental health.God is always with you and great life awaiting for with your Blessings of God and your beloved father. You can find your support system in one or more of these: Friends/Family/Work/Hobby/Self-improvement Also please remember that time is the biggest and greatest healer. You might have to accept that some part of you won't be able to make peace with it ever. However with time you will remember your parent more happily rather than sadly. Focus on making yourself and your parent proud of yourself one step at a time.

I can also relate your situation as I lost my mother last year to cancer I was 23 by that time. The horrible thing was, I was aware I will lose her one day but I was unable to do anything to make her survive for at least 3 more years. Then I started moving towards spirituality, I started learning different characters in many mythological episodes and how they passed their emptiness after losing their parents.

So sorry for your loss, I lost my mother almost a year back but it feels like yesterday that I'm talking to my mother and suddenly she is gone nothing feels real. Tbh there is no support system no one will understand your pain and that emptiness in you even your elders as well. Coming to the question that you have asked I'm also the same age as yours, you can talk with your close friends i understand they are clueless about your pain but still can help up to some extent. All in all you need to be your own support system and also have to take care of your siblings and mother as well there is no easy way out buddy.
