You could consider M.Tech in CSE only from old 5 IITs, IISc , IIIT-H or BITS-Pilani. Make a note, M.Tech in CSE only and that too from these 7 institutions else M.Tech is not worth at all here in India, better go for MS in the USA if you could afford.

I want to have the college experience again (COVID destroyed mine) and hoping get a salary jump as well.

How are the courses and peers in the CSE department in these institutes? 
Is it worth preparing for GATE and leaving my job to join these institutes?
Or is it better to skill up and switch?
