Publicis sapient causing delay for new joinee

Hi everyone,I got an on-campus offer from Publicis Sapient last year and received my letter of intent in May. Does anyone know when the joining date for the 2024 batch might be? Also, if any seniors from the 2023 batch could share when they joined last year, it would be helpful.

I have cleared all the rounds of an interview for a Senior Associate Data Engineering L2 DE - Big Data GCP role in Publicis Sapient. Now HR is ghosting and saying that she is taking approval and it's taking time. May I know that they'll really release the offer?

media.net (DirectI group) has postponed the joining of product managers hired from campus placements of top BSchools of India, IIM ABCL ISB XLRI etc. No specific timeline has been provided, HR said “joining is postponed”, that’s it. Insider news is that layoffs are happening at media.net and employees haven’t been given any appraisals this year. Are there any Microsoft HRs here who can actually tell me why they are delaying ppo results to mid September? Isn't it too late???

I am from a tier 1 college and our placements season is going on, this year the market is very bad, we have very less companies than the previous year and the pay is low as well. From Dec 1, our interview will start but till now I have got no interview shortlist. But I have got an off-campus offer for 13LPA in Greater Noida, I wanted to ask if 13LPA is good enough for living in Greater Noida. The recruiter asked me how much I expected I panicked and said 13LPA, actually I wish more than I said, I mean if they give 13LPA as base rather than CTC then it is more than enough for me. Should i take the offer or negotiate or do what? If negotiated, then how can the company agree to 13LPA base? TL;DR: should I accept a 13LPA offer or negotiate it, for a dev role in Greater Noida. I am fresher sitting for my campus placements. please help

2023 grad. Was selected in a company during on campus placement but they have delayed joining till 2024 stating business requirements and a dearth of projects. Came to know that they have again come for campus placements to hire 2024 grads from my college. What is this recruitment strategy? Will I get joining date ever?

Was just reading The Ken’s article they posted today around what went behind Bain’s recent layoffs - made me think a lot. More so because I rejected my offer from Bain in college to go join a startup. Bain is a titan in the consulting world, what made it stumble so hard in India? By now, all of us know Bain let go 15-20% of its workforce, a shocking move that reveals deep problems. What went wrong? 1/ Putting all eggs in one basket: Bain's excessive dependence on Tiger Global (60-70% of PE consulting revenue) proved catastrophic when Tiger faltered. When Tiger faltered, Bain was left scrambling. 2/ Overconfidence led to overhiring: The 2022 hiring spree, nearly doubling B-school intake, reveals a dangerous disconnect between market realities and internal optimism. Heard from a junior today that one of the consulting firms is delaying their joining from August to January This is in line with what most other firms have done as well (MBB). I saw the email as well, and the lack of any empathy was alarming. It literally said "We are delaying your joining from to Jan because of changes in training plan" and that we feel this is in your best interests. I get that business would be tough, there are probably not as many cases right now, and hence they are doing this. A) It is screwed up to break commitments for your joining date, just because you don't see as much demand around the period. These students are literally pumped about their first job, and to start off like this is just sad B) At least if you are doing the above, have the courtesy to explain the proper financial reason behind it Overall, really sad to see what graduates this year are having to go through, it's just random.
