There might be truth to this.
The Ken covered this last year, apparently Byju has a hard time listening to other execs. The company has historically struggled to retain its top execs owing to his hunger for power and influence.

It’s false. Top 8 members of the starting team were with him. He acquired loss making companies at ridiculous valuations which led to its downfall
