Skills for MBA fresher

What's skills should I learn to get 30LPA over the years? - Fresher - about to graduate from my MBA - into HR/Sales - Not from a Tier 1 College Thank you for your suggestions 😁

I have 76% in 10th, 81 in 12th, and 70 in UG Having said that I am currently working on building strong profile so it shall compensate on my academic score. And also I'm new joinee in a company planning to get into mba after 2yr. Any experienced professionals advice would. truly be appreciated. Ps. If not consulting please do mention what is strong profile contains to stand out from the croud in MBA admissions & placements.

Anything for example McKinsey way of thinking where I get certificates aligning me with consultancy.

Which skills do i need to have? If an MBA is required then which MBA should i do?

Have to pay off EMIs on home loan...please need referrals for product/data/business analyst roles.. would probably get laid off next week.. Experience - 6 yrs Tech- SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI,A/B testing, hypothesis testing Company- online food delivery.. u know it already

I’m going to join an MBA college this year. I’ve 2-3 months of available time before the session begins in either June or July 2024. Currently, I’m learning Excel and PowerPoint as recommended by almost everyone I’ve asked for advice. Besides this what skills, certifications etc. should I learn in order to enhance my CV(My major specialisation is going to be in marketing). I’ve also got to know that certifications don’t have much value since you cannot mention those in your CV. So is there anything I can do as of now which will help me to strengthen my CV. Please don’t tell me to relax and chill because my academics are below average and I’m going to face issues during my MBA journey so I want to utilise these 2 - 3 months in a productive way so that it gives me headstarts for my MBA journey. Also any advice on how to make the most of my MBA journey, including specific actions to be taken during the program with a focus on achieving a successful placement would be greatly appreciated. I need some advice. 1. I am a fresher and am considering giving the CAT exam this year. 2. Currently working as a data science intern and frankly, not enjoying it a bit. I dread debugging. I also feel everyday that AI can easily do 75% of my work. 3. I want some business side roles, thinking I won't have to stare at a screen all day, fixing bugs. What roles can I expect after doing a MBA, is it worth the extra 2 years and the money, and if you are someone who can relate to my situation, what are some of the things you enjoy about your work and some things which you absolutely hate. I might have completely wrong expectations, so please feel free to correct me.

Hi all, This question is for people who have been in this field (any form of analytics) for a few years. My background (You can skip to the next section and jump back for reference here): Role: Data Scientist/Analyst Tech stack: Python (ML), SQL, Tableau YOE: 2 years Work: Started here as a fresher. Being in a service based company, we offer analytics solutions. I have worked to create a clients data pipeline(No code tool), to maintaining it, creating dashboards (Primary task) and ML models (Based on any major change in metrics). Salary: On the lower spectrum (Definitely!) Reason for this post: I would call myself good with tools but lacks industry knowledge and the maturity to actually be in analytics. I do decent, but I have to depend on my manager sometimes to understand the business and provide correct solutions. But I guess that is how it is in case of any fresher starting out? Question: Is pursuing a 2 year MBA (Targetting only Tier 1 colleges) a good idea for someone who is already working in analytics for 3 years (by the time I join an MBA program)? Please share your thoughts. Context to the question: I've discussed with someone who did their MBA and works in analytics for a bank now. And according to them, the best way to progress in analytics is to choose a domain and stick to it. And to reset my career, I should do an MBA. This will help me get an understanding of all the domains, improve my soft skills (and time management, etc.) and also give me a good place to start fresh. And they say it will help me in the future as well, as it gives me a very good alumni network. I'm considering this because of my ability to network has not been that great and also to get the domain knowledge they said I'll be getting. But is it really worth it considering I lose 2 years salary, and salary growth and also have to spend a big amount. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

I feel pity for those people who could not get guidance early on with their careers. People I know who are extremely smart and hardworking earning below average wrt YoE just because they couldn't afford MBA fees. When I see freshers from tier-1 MBA earning upwards of 25lpa+ with a bcom/arts degree and don't have any analytics skill for a job, it fills me with rage that the world is unfair for many talented folks. Do you spot these freshers with zero skills in your organisation?
