What skills should I learn before starting my MBA journey?

I am going to join a tier 1 MBA program in India next year. What should I know before joining? Also how to make the most out of these two years? Profile: BSc with Stats, 2 years of product management experience.

It's been sooooo long since I have been searching for jobs did gave interviews but somehow got rejected after 2nd round. I am literally loosing all hopes, motivation and confidence and no excitement is left.

Hi! I’m in a huge dilemma and looking out for any advice I can get. I currently have 1.5 years of work ex and want to pursue MBA. Im confused if I should complete 2 years of work ex and then quit to do full time mba prep or quit right away to do prep. My quant is weak so I will need a lot of practice to crack CAT. 2 year criteria comes in so that I can keep options like ISB open as it requires a minimum of 2 year work ex. Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Hey there, I've 5 years of experience working as a content strategist in Advertising Agencies. I've worked on multiple marketing campaigns for 25+ brands. However, I now want to transition to a full time marketing role with a blend of analytics and creativity without opting for an MBA. Here are some of the skills I plan on getting certifications in to land a role: SQL, Tableau, Excel (pivot tables, charts, v lookups), Marketing Strategy Project Management Media Planning I already have a strong background in copywriting, design, managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Do you have any tips or advice that can help me in this journey? Do you recommend any courses or certifications I should undertake to highlight the above mentioned skills? Hello, I am currently a 3rd year computer engineering student from a 3rd tier college, The average package here is around 3.2L, I am not confident enough to land this package and I am confused should I start preparing for CAT now or should I focus on my placements preparations, I don't know whether I will be able to get a good college as I don't have any experience, Suggestions would help :)

So I left my job in Jan 2024 after 3.4 yoe. I wish to switch my profile to HR, and therefore, I wish to pursue an MBA degree. Now the problem starts: my family is pressuring me that if I'm unable to convert any good colleges, how will I justify my gap year so I should take up a job. I don't wish to take up a job since I want to focus entirely on CAT prep. They are also pressurising me that if I'm unable to convert, then I will have to start from scratch in HR with a low salary and they wish to see me married within next 2-3 years so why would a nice guy marry a girl who is earning 25k-30k a month. So I'm really stressed out. What should I do? Take up a job and then prepare for entrance, or ignore them and just focus on prep, like what's the solution? Everyone is talking about the problem, what's the solution?

Hello Grapevine folks, I am currently a final year student at one of the IIIT. I am not satisfied in pursuing a tech role in future . Since I want to change my career I am clear that I have to go in management role . But I have not decided which specialisation I am inclined to . I will attempt CAT exam this year . Should I also prepare for CFA ? Does it increases placement and career prospects after and during MBA? Please guide me what should I do.
