Prepare for CFA or not?
Hello Grapevine folks, I am currently a final year student at one of the IIIT. I am not satisfied in pursuing a tech role in future . Since I want to change my career I am clear that I have to go in management role . But I have not decided which specialisation I am inclined to . I will attempt CAT exam this year . Should I also prepare for CFA ? Does it increases placement and career prospects after and during MBA? Please guide me what should I do.

I've given L1 of CFA, currently doing my Bachelor's.
Let me tell you it's not easy, it requires a lot of time and since you have a Science background you'll need extra efforts in a few subjects.
As for prospects there are multiple roles especially IB, Valuation etc that specifically require CFA to be cleared or at least some levels of it.
Not sure how CFA would help in MBA placements as I have no experience in that but my peers who had cleared L1 in bachelor's itself converted finance roles easily, they had an advantage. Of course your knowledge experience and all those other things factor into it.
I would say it helps. A lot of my peers got their CFA L1s during the first year of MBA itself and it boosted their resume quite a bit. Go for it.
