3 months into my new job and feeling FOMO because the job market is back.

I will be graduating in a month, I don't have a job as of now, I am scared of the resume gap, should I be that much scared as a fresher, please tell me from your experience guys. I know that it's a red flag of you have gap in your resume, but does that matter? Or should I not worry and keep upskilling my skills.

Today we have a review meeting, although my manager gave me a positive review and everything looks good in the meeting, but somehow I feel that it's better to have one backup offer. So should I start a job hunt in this scenario ? The current market is not good for a fresher with less than 1 YOE.

I just need a little break. Want to introspect on what I want in life. Have not travelled a lot, want to do that. I have a good enough run way to sustain for 4-5 months. Do you think it's a good idea? Has anyone taken a break for a quarter or more?

Have an M.Des from one of the IITs. This is going to be my first switch. Is having a WITCH org going to screw my chances of getting into a product based org. If yes, how can I work on this?

is it a good idea to resign without a job offer ? Lately, I've been in a very bad office culture which impacted my personality poorly. I started having self doubts, problem in my marriage (got married 1 month back but my manager didn't granted me leave so didn't got a chance to celebrate my marriage, not even the honeymoon) , problem with my health (cholestrol level raised severely high), lost 5 kgs, grey hairs and what not. so, my mind is telling me to quit the job, take a gap, travel somewhere freely without carrying a laptop and again after 2-3 months , get back finding a new job. but i am also scared that what if I dont get a job again? what if i dont get opportunity for working with such a big organisation? what are your thoughts/suggestions ?

I got laid off in Jan. I was a senior product analyst at a well known startup. YoE ~4 Pay was 18L + 2L variable + ESOP After months of search I landed an offer at another smaller startup which raised Series B in sept-22 They are offering me 16+2 + ESOP after looking at my payslip and I have no other offer in hand citing economic conditions. How do I go about it? I have 1 other interview going on and few with final round results pending, but uncertain if those will get offered.

Hii, I'm a front-end developer having around 3 years of work experience. I got laid-off in 2023 just after 1.8years in an organisation. Then I joined another company and got laid off in 6 months. Now I have an offer from early stage startup but I'm too scared to accept it because of my experience. But on the other hand I don't have any offer as well. Will it look bad on my resume. I don't know... I've started thinking that something is wrong with me otherwise what is the chances of getting laid off twice within same year. First I loose my peace of mind because of work pressure and then I loose my work... pretty f**cked up situation. I have never been this unde confident. What do you think shall I take the offer from startup again or wait few more months or more to get into good mnc??

Hi, I'm a PM and I've recently left my job at a unicorn to take up a higher position at an early stage venture. I'm only the second PM hire of the company which means a LOT of 0 to 1 building. The work is pretty solid and my level of learning is far, far beyond what I was doing at my unicorn stint. I have a lot more autonomy here and my manager is great. But lately, I've been feeling that this move would probably close my doors for FAANG or even companies like Flipkart and Zomato - because they'd probably pick someone from a unicorn company over me. Is my apprehension correct? I'm only 3 years into my career if that helps. Thanks

The company I used to work for recently shut down and I just received my first offer from a sizeable unicorn. I am being massively low-balled (20% cut). And on top of it, it's an exploding offer. I have a couple of interviews lined up (they start after May 28th) but at the moment, this is the only offer I have. What should I do? 1. Hard negotiate? Leave the offer on the table if it doesn't work out. 2. Soft negotiate. Get the offer. Interview with other companies and try to get a better offer before joining (feels wrong) Things to consider: - I have 10+ months runway - Last cash comp was 24L at 2.5YOE I'm leaning towards 1.

My current company has given me a golden handshake for one month since project did not take off. My wife business is doing really well and she wants to open a 2nd place. She said she will manage everything including our monthly expenses and children education etc. She is super confident and at the same time doesn't want me to rush into something that will damage my mental health and has even offered me to help her in some capacity in her business. I actually let go of an offer giving me a 18 percent hike only and also didn't feel comfortable with the role and company. Do you think what I am doing is wise? Is it wise to take sometime off and not rush into anything? Or is the job market very bad and I should have taken any offer.
