A Ninja Technique to find out whether you are underpaid or not ?

so this is what you have to do: give interviews, with minor or no preparation at all. go for interviews with at least 5 different companies, in your field of expertise (if you have one) if you are not able to reach the last round for any of the companies (forget them hiring you or not, that depends on many other factors) then NO you are not underpaid. and happily accept that it's a skill issue...and you might just be overpaid instead. so: 1. Your years of experience don't decide your skills, hence it shouldn't decide the salary, only expertise should. 2. Keep upskilling to stay relevant, don't wait for layoffs or shitty hikes to start preparing for interviews.
